One of our recent projects was for a customer who wanted to replace a garden shed. They needed a versatile space that was light and airy and could be used all year-round. As the walls, floor and roof of our garden office buildings are all heavily insulated, that wasn’t an issue. The biggest problem was deciding what type and colour of cladding should cover the exterior and how the interior should be decorated.
After much deliberation over the amazing variety of options, they chose maintenance-free cladding in cream for the exterior. Inside, the back wall was clad with pine tongue and groove and the remainder in shadow profile wall panels
To allow in plenty of light and to maximise views of the garden, we complemented the double-glazed door and window with a large double glazed fixed casement.
For the finishing touch we laid parquet-effect vinyl on the floor which combined well with the wall décor to present a warm and inviting space.
